Link to dead-tree versions worthless January 3, 2003 8:57 AM Subscribe
Worthless links. If we have to hunt down print copies of something, why are you linking to web-based statements that don't actually support your post?
Su, your post, while well intentioned, is worthless itself (your link is broken.) I think you meant this, which has already been smited.

Yeahyeahyeah. I had to change something on preview, and IE dumped the form info, so I had to go back to the preview and copy it, then pasted it in, and somehow convinced myself I still had the original post's address in the clipboard, blabbity blab blab.
But yes, you're right.

This seems to be a sub-category of something else I see occasionaly on MetaFilter: rather than "finding something interesting on the web" and posting, some posts are a result of seeing something on teevee and then googling up some lame web site to fulfill the
'providing a link' requirement.
